Why do I discount?
My personal experience of working in a care home has identified how vocal performance has a unique power to reach those afflicted with age related conditions and other disabilities. I am also aware of the budgetary constraints common to the sector hence it is my mission to make sure that this should never be a barrier to accessing the restorative effects of music to heal and bring joy to those in need of care.

“Yesterday was a very special day. We had the lovely Alice in to the home to sing.
Isabel loves classical and operatic music and songs from the musicals … and it was her wish to have a performance, so that’s what we did. Sadly she was feeling a little under the weather so she had a personal performance in her room! Isabel sang along to ‘If I loved you’ from the musical Carousel.
Alice also performed in the lounge for the other residents and it was so beautiful, a few tears were shed!”
